Football statistics website, Opta has declared that Bayern Munich is the best club in the world in 2023. The German Bundesliga giants have been winning the German Bundesliga for more than seven seasons now and they have also had a good standing in the Champions League, having won the competition in 2020.
English Premier League side, Manchester City comes second on the list. Pep Guardiola has turned things around at the club and after his first season, winning trophies have been a regular thing for the club. The only trophy that been eluded the Manchester side so far under Pep Guardiola is the Champions League.
Manchester City was defeated in the final of the competition by Chelsea in 2021 and was eliminated in the semi-finals by Real Madrid last season.
Despite Liverpool's league struggles this season, they are still ranked as the third-best football club in the world currently. The Merseyside club won the Champions League in 2019 after they were eliminated in the final the year before. They reached the final in 2022 but were eliminated by Real Madrid.
